The latest round of OJSC Aviadvigatel and LLC LUKOIL-Zapadnaya Sibir cooperation
In May 2010 OJSC Aviadvigatel and LLC LUKOIL-Zapadnaya Sibir have signed two contracts for delivery of power equipment totally rated at 96 MW for Povhovsky (TPP Kogalymneftegaz) and Pokachevsky (TPP Pokachevneftegaz) oil and gas fields' needs.
Western Siberia oilmen and Perm Design Bureau specialists' collaboration in the field of modernization of generating capacities has started in 2001. The first generation that comprises three GTES-4 gas turbine power plants totally rated at 12MW was put into operation at Severo-Gubkinsky oil and gas field. In March 2007 to the same oil and gas field was delivered "Ural-6000" gas turbine power plant. In 2008 in Ugra the largest self-resonant power plant rated at 72 MW based on EGES-12S was built in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area at Vat-Yegansky MNG. A year later - in June 2009 - Tevlino-Russkinskaya gas turbine power plant rated at 48 MW started its operation. And in September in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area at Pyakyahinsky field the power plant based on four GTES "Ural-6000" power-generating units totally rated at 24 MW was put into operation. In 2009 for Uraysky oil and gas field were shipped four power-generating units rated at 12 MW. Thus, during nine years of cooperation 23 Perm gas turbines totally rated at 210 MW have increased LUKOIL-Zapadnaya Sibir' power budget.
Signing of two more contracts for delivery of power equipment confirms the reliability of Perm gas turbines.
Realization of energy projects at Povhovsky and Pokachevsky MNG(s) will provide the fields' infrastructure with electricity and heat. By increasing self-resonant power LLC LUKOIL-Zapadnaya Sibir not only reduces the costs of purchasing electricity from "big" generation distribution companies, but also contributes to associated gas utilization program, thus enhancing environmental purity of the oil fields.
Unlike GTES(es) based on GTU-12PG-2 that were built earlier, power plants at Povhovsky and Pokachevsky MNG(s) will be used in combined cycle (gas-turbine - heat station) that is going to increase the efficiency of power gas usage and reduce heat and electricity generation costs. At the moment OJSC Aviadvigatel specialists are successfully building municipal and industrial heating and power stations based on gas turbines with unit rating at 4, 6, 16 and 25 MW.
DESIGN FEATURES OF THE NEW PROJECTS
The delivered equipment consists of four EGES-12S power-generating units for each field. These power-generating units are placed in twos at easy-to-assemble shelters (shops) that are connected with one another by covered warm crossings. This will allow creating the most comfortable conditions of servicing that is of no small importance for the region where the winter temperature falls down to -50 C°.
EGES-12C design base comprises standard build units:
- GTU-12PG-2 gas turbine modification with electric start. Manufacturer - Perm Engine Company;
- TC-12-2 RUHLZ (modification with 10.5 kV voltage). Manufacturer - Privod HC OJSC.
Exhaust-heat boilers designed and manufactured by CJSC Ukhtinsky Eksperimentalno-Mechanichesky Zavod are installed in power-generating units exhaust lines. Their quantity, specification and design features will differ from each other:
- Four exhaust-heat boilers with unit rating at 14 MW will be delivered at Povhovsky MNG;
- Three exhaust-heat boilers with unit rating at 2.9 MW - at Pokachevsky MNG, one EGES-12S power-generating unit will be operated in simple cycle without a boiler.
A number of new engineering solutions was applied while developing Povhovsky and Pokachevsky Gas-turbine - Heat station. In particular, system detail sections symmetrically (from left and right sides) joined with generator hall are provided, they are:
- Lube-supply unit (BMO).
- Block-module gas supply system (OJSC Aviadvigatel supply).
- At Povhovsky field exhaust-heat boilers will be arranged horizontally in outdoor modification.
- At Pokachevsky field exhaust-heat boilers will be arranged vertically in existing EGES(es) exhaust lines.
The final shipment of gas turbine equipment for Pokachevsky field is scheduled for June 2011, and for Povhovsky field for October 2011.
According to Deputy General Designer - Chief Designer of mechanical drive gas turbines for power plants and objects of their application OJSC Aviadvigatel Daniil Sulimov the main advantages of Gas-turbine - Heat station based on gas turbines developed by Perm Design Bureau are heat utilization for electric and thermal energy generation, customers power and heat supply high reliability achieved by means of modern efficient and environmentally friendly equipment.
OJSC Aviadvigatel - the leading Russian Design Bureau that develops gas turbine engines of aircraft and industrial application, it is a part of United Engine Building Corporation (ODK) that is OJSC OPK Oboronprom's subsidiary company 100% specialized on engine building assets management.
OJSC OPK Oboronprom is a diversified engineering group established in 2002. It is a part of PC Russian Technologies. Main lines of activities: helicopter building (OJSC Helicopters of Russia), engine building (MC United Engine Building Corporation), other assets. Revenue of the enterprises that are the parts of the corporation exceeded 130 billion rubles in 2009.
